The unchanging face of architectural magazines: Architectural Review (London, 1895) v. Architecture (New York, 1995). Women (as) architectural models.
This week’s seminar presented a survey of the 150-year history of magazines, as the larger context within which to survey the emergence of serial architectural publications (magazines and journals) since the late 19th century. Selected examples include Arch Review (starting in the late 19th century); Bauhaus, Ulm, Arts+Architecture.
